Apex Legends, from EA and Respawn Entertainment, is a new Battle Royale shooter and is available right now! Apex Legends is set in the Titanfall universe but we aren’t likely to be seeing any mechs here with the focus being on close teamwork in a last team standing format.
Players are able to choose from eight Legends all with unique abilities. Bloodhound, the tracker is able to see recent enemy player activity on the map whereas Lifeline is a battlefield medic who can shield players and bring them back from the clutches of death.

“Our goal in every game you play is that you come in with a plan but you leave with a story,” said Drew McCoy, Lead Producer for Apex Legends. “We’re building a game that is not only going to deliver a fun and memorable experience at launch, but something we can keep growing for a long time to come.”
Apex Legends throws in a few new twists to the Battle Royale genre with the Jumpmaster system and Respawn Beacons. The Jumpmaster system allows players to choose where they will land on the map to ensure good team cohesion and the Respawn Beacons are one time items that allow defeated players to be revived.
The first season of Apex Legends will start in March giving you plenty of time to practice. Once the season launches players will have the opportunity to purchase a Battle Pass to gain access to exclusive cosmetic items earned through gameplay. Apex Legends will follow a seasonal model with each themed season bringing new content to the game in the form of new weapons, new Legends, new skins and more.
Apex Legends is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC via the Origins Launcher. Check out the official Apex Legends website for more information.
