Fleur East is finally making a comeback to the charts with new single Favourite Thing… and it’s a banger!

East’s first single in 3 years comes following her stint on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here where she finished in 4th place. Favourite Thing is East’s first release for new label Hunter Corp Records.

Favourite Thing is an uptempo track with a heavy drum beat and East’s distinctive vocals driving the melody. It’s different from what we’ve heard from the singer before but perfect for the current chart landscape.

It was written by Fleur with Phil Plested and Dayo Olatunji, and produced by Red Triangle. The music video, directed by Moe Swaleh features high-energy choreography from Eden Shabtai.

Fleur says, “The song has influences from my mother’s side of my family in Ghana. My mum has always made sure I know a lot about my heritage. It’s really anthemic and upbeat. I’m so grateful to be starting 2019 in the position I’m in. I really feel like people got to see the real me in the jungle. I’m so much stronger as a person now and I’m really happy with my new music.”

East rose to fame on The X Factor where she came runner-up in 2014. In 2015 she scored a global smash with her single Sax and she released debut album Love, Sax and Flashbacks.

The album only produced two singles, the final being More & More in 2016, and East parted ways with Syco shortly after its release.
