Adam Lambert moves Cher to tears with Believe performance

Adam Lambert honoured Cher recently with a performance of her 1998 hit Believe at the 41st annual Kennedy Center Honors.

Rearranging the song and transforming it into a heart-wrenching ballad, Lambert brought tears to Cher’s eyes as she watched from the audience. The performance has gone viral across the world.

Following the performance Cher tweeted: “Tried 2 write Feelings About Adam Lambert Singing Believe In Words, but Cant seem 2. When Your senses are Overwhelmed All Can you feel with your ❤️.ā€

Adam retweeted the comment, adding: ā€œIt was a total honor @Cher!!!! Youā€™re a goddess!ā€

The Kennedy Center Honors is an annual ceremony that sees those in the performing arts honoured for their lifetime of contributions to American culture. They have been presented annually since 1978, culminating each December in a star-studded gala celebrating the honourees in the Kennedy Center Opera House.

Adam Lambert is expected to release his new studio album later this year.
