Peter Straker is alive and Brel on the Fringe

Peter Straker is one of the leading voices of musical theatre, lending his unique range and tone to the original West End production of Hair, The Who’s Tommy, The Original Phantom of the Opera and The Rocky Horror Show.

Straker’s career spans 50 years, including recording albums with friend and colleague, Freddie Mercury. But now he is back in Edinburgh for a strictly limited run performing hits from the master of the modern chanson, Jacques Brel.

Straker is unquestionably the finest interpreter of Brel’s songs. He does not just sing the words, he inhabits them. His dramatic delivery is full of passion, power and honesty.

Don’t miss Peter Straker Sings Brel at the Pleasance Courtyard until 12th August 2018. Book online at pleasance.co.uk or call the box office on 020 7609 1800.
