Canadian singer, Alessia Cara has shared her brand new video for new song, Growing Pains. The Grammy Award®-winning artist and most-streamed new female artist of 2017 is set to release her brand new single through Virgin EMI/Def Jam Recordings. Growing Pains will be the first single from Alessia’s forthcoming sophomore album.
Growing Pains is Alessia Cara’s first solo recording since releasing her 2015 platinum debut album KNOW-IT-ALL. The singer’s debut album included top tracks such as Here and Scars To Your Beautiful. Growing Pains is the long-awaited follow-up to the 4x-platinum 1-800-273-8255, her historic collabration with fellow Def Jam artist Logic, one of 2017’s landmark singles with over 1.5 billion streams worldwide. Alessia’s success is undisputed with her music has generating over 7 billion global streams to date.
So far the young singer has earned nominations for Favourite Female Artist – Pop/Rock at the 2017 American Music Awards, the People’s Choice Award for Favourite Breakout Artist, the Billboard Music Award for Top New Artist, the BET Award for Best New Artist, the BBC Award for Song of The Year, and many other honours. In addition, she lent her voice to the RIAA platinum, How Far I’ll Go written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, the official song of Disney’s animated film Moana.
Alessia Cara won a JUNO award for 2016 Breakthrough Artist of the Year in her native Canada, received Rule Breaker honour at the Billboard Women in Music, she’s won an MTV Video Music Awards for Best Electronic Dance Video and Best Fight Against The System and Alessia won back-to-back ASCAP Pop Awards for Stay and Scars To Your Beautiful.
The single’s televised debut took place on 18th June on American late-night talk show, the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
