The first trailer for Creed II has arrived, hot-on-the-heels of the one-sheet poster reveal yesterday.

The dramatic trailer opens with Creed (Michael B. Jordan) recovering in a hospital bed with his girlfriend Bianca (Tessa Thompson) by his side following a particularly nasty knock-out in the ring. A pep talk with Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) follows and it looks like Creed’s mentor is losing faith his abilities.

From that point on Creed is seen looking after his family and throwing himself into training so he can take on Ivan Drago’s (Dolph Lundgren) son Viktor Drago (Florian Munteanu).

Creed II is the follow-up to 2015’s box office smash Creed, a spin-off from the Rocky franchise. The cast also features Phylicia Rashad, Wood Harris, Andre Ward and Russell Hornsby.

Fans can expect Creed and Rocky to pull together as they prepare for the big fight but the film is also about discovering that there’s nothing more important than family and going back to basics to rediscover what made you a champion.

Steven Caple Jr is the director for the movie taking over from Ryan Coogler who directed the first movie.

Yesterday the one-sheet poster was revealed for the movie, which features Michael B. Jordan in character ready to fight.

Creed II will be released nationwide in the UK on 30th November 2018 by Warner Bros. Pictures
