Reddington (James Spader) finally agreed to help Liz (Megan Boone) put an end to Ian Garvey (Jonny Coyne) on the latest episode of The Blacklist.

He set up a fake exchange with help from Raleigh Sinclair III (John Noble) orchestrating a situation where it appeared that Garvey had killed Zarak Mosadek (Bernard White) after he learned he was going to be double-crossed. Of course he didn’t let the task force in on his plan so they genuinely thought that Garvey had killed Mosadek until Liz figured it out.

With the real Garvey in their clutches, Reddington let him go as he was now a wanted man. Garvey went to see Lillian (Fiona Dourif), who had already confronted him about Liz’s revelations, and the two were surprised when Liz turned up.

Things got further complicated when Reddington arrived and a tense stand-off took place. Lillian protected Garvey who shot Reddington. Liz retaliated by firing three rounds into Garvey’s chest and Lillian called an ambulance.

It appears that Garvey is dead but his fate wasn’t confirmed by the time the credits rolled and Liz didn’t get the answers she was searching for.

The next episode of the season is Nicholas T. Moore. A young girl emerges that seems strangely linked to Red’s big secret. As the task force investigate, it turns into a race to save her life.
