A brand new, first-look trailer has arrived for Crazy Rich Asians, along with fresh new poster art.

Join an all-star cast for the wedding of a lifetime this summer! Crazy Rich Asians stars Constance Wu, Henry Golding and screen legend Michelle Yeoh (Star Trek: Discovery, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon).

The film is based on the novel by Kevin Kwan, with Adele Lim and Peter Chiarelli adapting it to the screen.

New Yorker Rachel Chu (Constance Wu) receives an invitation from her boyfriend Nick Young (Henry Golding) to his best friend’s wedding in Singapore. Excited about visiting Asia for the first time but nervous about meeting Nick’s family, Rachel is unprepared to learn that Nick has neglected to mention a few key details about his life…

It turns out that he is not only the scion of one of the country’s wealthiest families but also one of its most sought-after bachelors. Being on Nick’s arm puts a target on Rachel’s back, with jealous socialites and, worse, Nick’s own disapproving mother (Michelle Yeoh) taking aim. And it soon becomes clear that while money can’t buy love, it can definitely complicate things.

This rom-com looks to be a real winner and the cast of acclaimed actors should guarantee a gem of a comedy for Warner Brothers. It’s been awhile since we’ve had a genuinely great mainstream romantic comedy so fingers crossed that this one delivers!

Crazy Rich Asians is due to land in UK cinemas on 17th August 2018.

It’s directed by Jon M. Chu, who has seen Hollywood success with Step Up 3D, Now You See Me 2, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never and G.I. Joe: Retaliation.
