Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert – Original Soundtrack Of The NBC Television Event will be released digitally on 6th April 2018 and CD on 20th April 2018.
The release will follow the airing of NBC’s highly-anticipated Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert on Sunday 1st April from the Marcy Armory in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, N.Y.
The cast for the special event includes John Legend (Jesus Christ), Sara Bareilles (Mary Magdalene), Alice Cooper (King Herod) and Brandon Victor Dixon (Judas). The stellar cast also includes Ben Daniels (Pontius Pilate), Norm Lewis (Caiaphas), Jason Tam (Peter), Jin Ha (Annas) and Erik Gronwall (Simon Zealotes).
Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert will be helmed by David Leveaux. The creative team for the event also includes live television director and executive producer Alex Rudzinski (Hairspray Live!, Dancing With the Stars), costumer designer Paul Tazewell (The Wiz Live!, Hamilton), music producer Harvey Mason Jr. (The Wiz Live!), musical director Nigel Wright (Jesus Christ Superstar world arena tour), production designer Jason Ardizzone-West (Adele Live in NYC) and choreographer Camille A. Brown (Once on This Island).
The show will also be executive produced by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Tim Rice, Marc Platt, Craig Zadan, Neil Meron, John Legend, Mike Jackson, Ty Stiklorius and Alex Rudzinski.
