Dembe (Hisham Tawfiq) put his life in danger to go undercover for the task force in a bid to stop a human smuggling operation on the latest episode of The Blacklist.

Red (James Spader) reluctantly agreed to him doing it as long as the task force monitored him and were on standby to extract him should the situation get too bad. The human smuggling operation was run by the Kilgannon family, who instructed their smugglers to abandon their trucks as they were transporting hundreds of people.

A race against time put Red into a panic as he realised Dembe was locked in a van with a group of people and limited oxygen. After tracking down the driver, Red saved the day and he helped some of the immigrants prevent being deported.

Meanwhile Tom (Ryan Eggold) and Lena (Ana Nogueira) tracked down Pete (Karl Miller) who claimed he had nothing to do with Nik’s (Piter Marek) death. They were captured by a group looking for Red and in a bid to get Tom to talk, the leader killed both Lena and Pete.

Tom promised to deliver Red to them but was he bluffing?

The next episode of the season is Ian Garvey. Red’s desperation to hide the truth about the suitcase puts him on a collision course with Tom and it will change everyone’s lives forever.
