Following weeks of whittling down thousands of hopefuls, The X Factor reaches the business end of the competition this week as the live shows begin.
With a shortened run of only 6 weeks, the 16 finalists (four of which will be revealed on the show tomorrow when the Wildcard vote result is announced) will battle it out to keep their place in the competition. For the first time ever, not all contestants will be singing on the same night.
Simon Cowell’s Groups and Nicole Scherzinger’s Overs will perform on Saturday and Louis Walsh’s Boys and Sharon Osbourne’s Girls will perform on Sunday night.
The theme for the first live show is Express Yourself with each of the acts singing the song they think is the best representation of who they are.
