Alice (Mireille Enos) and Val (Rose Rollins) revisited the case that brought them together to form AVI on the latest episode The Catch.

Nick (Kevin Carroll) asked AVI to investigate the case of a police officer that was murdered and Alice’s ex-boyfriend Ethan (Warren Christie) was implicated in it. The case got mysteriously dropped and Nick was concerned it could pose a threat to him becoming Chief of Police.

The team dug into the case and things from Alice’s past came up such as her drug problem and the unusual way that she and Val became friends. They found out that the police officer committed suicide and Alice apologised to Ethan having believed for years that he committed murder.

Meanwhile Rhys (John Simm) and Ben (Peter Krause) were under threat following a security breach at the FBI. With the help of Agent Diaz (Gina Torres) they investigated who was behind the breach and discovered that the hard drive they were looking for was actually a person with an eidetic memory.

Elsewhere Margot (Sonya Walger) caught her mother out while trying to adjust to life with a daughter.

The next episode of the season is The Birthday Party. Alice is caught off guard when someone from her past resurfaces and is in need of her help. Meanwhile, Ben and Margot are forced to work together to keep a sweet sixteen party from getting out of hand.
