A Thousand Horses have released Preachin’ to the Choir, the first single from their forthcoming second album.
Following its premiere on Rolling Stone Country, the track mixes the band’s southern rock roots with contemporary Country. Speaking to Rolling Stone Country about the track, frontman Michael Hobby said:
āPreachin’ to the Choir is the working people’s anthem. It’s about the people that give it 100 percent and are an all-in/all-out kind of crowd. They work hard, they love hard and they play hard, and that’s what the song really speaks to.”
The new single is the first new material from the band since their 2015 debut album Southernality. That album spawned the hit single Smoke whose video had almost 17 million views.
A Thousand Horses are due to release their new album on Big Machine later this year.
