Nashville rockers A Thousand Horses are gearing up for a bold new era with the announcement of their third studio album, ‘White Flag Down,' set for release on February 27, 2026.
To mark the news, the band have unveiled their thundering new single ‘Dead Man Walking,' a track that bassist Graham DeLoach describes as “a song about betrayal… about how sometimes in life, the people that you give the most to and trust the deepest also have the sharpest knife.” Adding an extra layer of drama, the song also features a spoken-word monologue by Chris Mason, known for his role as Keiran Atreides in HBO’s Dune: Prophecy.
The new single follows the release of ‘Voices,' which gave fans their first glimpse of this next chapter and quickly overtook the band’s platinum-certified breakthrough ‘Smoke' in streaming numbers.
‘White Flag Down' reflects both a return to A Thousand Horses’ rock roots and a fresh creative perspective after years of personal and professional evolution. Guitarist Bill Satcher explains, “Rock’n’roll has always been at the core of our sound and with this next album we are diving all the way in,” while DeLoach adds, “We promised our fans this would be our heaviest album yet and we meant it.” Known for their incendiary live shows and tours alongside acts like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jason Aldean and Darius Rucker, the ACM-nominated group looks set to deliver their most powerful statement yet.
The album announcement follows a triumphant summer that saw the band return to the UK for the first time since 2019, reminding international audiences of their commanding presence onstage. With momentum building and new music setting a harder edge, A Thousand Horses are poised to take ‘White Flag Down' on the road, continuing to prove why they remain one of Nashville’s most electrifying rock’n’roll outfits.
