Kara (Melissa Benoist) was taken by surprise when an imp arrived in National City declaring his love for her on the latest episode of Supergirl.
Known as Mr. Mxyzptlk (Peter Gadiot), the imp ruined what would have been a moment between Kara and Mon-El (Chris Wood) after the two had finally been honest about their feelings for one another. Mon-El was overcome with jealousy and wanted to kill Mr. Mxyzptlk but Kara insisted on finding a more humane way to deal with him.
After rejecting his marriage proposal, Kara battled Mr. Mxyzptlk as he created chaos by summoning Parasite to attack the city. Mon-El offered to duel with Mr. Mxyzptlk and tried to use a DEO weapon provided by Winn (Jeremy Jordan) to defeat him but it backfired. Kara agreed to marry Mr. Mxyzptlk and took him to the Fortress of Solitude for the wedding but once there she revealed that she wouldn’t go through with it.
Putting the Fortress in lockdown and threatening to blow it up, Kara tricked Mr. Mxyzptlk into inputting his name backwards, which sent him back to where he came from.
Elsewhere in the episode Kara and Mon-El did finally get together, Alex (Chyler Leigh) learned the reason why Maggie (Floriana Lima) hated Valentines’ Day due to the way her family found out she was gay, and Winn went on a date with an alien.
The next episode of the season is Homecoming. When Jeremiah Danvers (Dean Cain) is rescued from Cadmus, Alex and Kara are thrilled to have him back, but Mon-El is suspicious about his sudden return.
