Courtney Marie Andrews debuts new track Rookie Dreaming

Singer-songwriter Courtney Marie Andrews has premiered her new single Rookie Dreaming.

Released on Friday 13th January 2017, Rookie Dreaming explores Courtney’s experiences of life on the road. It also looks at the future that lies before her as she sees her career start to rise.

Talking about the track Courtney reveals, “I wrote Rookie Dreaming at a time when I was traveling alone across Europe by train. I was playing little clubs and dives in different countries every week, and found myself with a lot of time to process my life laid ahead of me. That time manifested a realization in me, that dreams aren’t as simple or easy, when you’re only a rookie. They become more complicated the longer you work towards them, and the more seasoned you are. So essentially, Rookie Dreaming is a coming of age song; an idea that evokes certainty in the uncertain.”

Rookie Dreaming is taken from Courtney’s album Honest Life, which is released in the UK on 20th January 2017 via Loose. The album was released in the US in 2016 and picked up critical acclaim with Courtney drawing comparisons to Emmylou Harris and PJ Harvey.

Honest Life will be released 20 January 2017 on 180g turquoise vinyl, CD & download, via Loose. Courtney will tour the UK in February and March, with headline dates as well as supporting The Handsome Family on their UK tour.
