They may have been the runners-up on last year’s X Factor but Reggie N Bollie are looking likely to achieve chart glory with the release of their debut single New Girl on 13th May through SYCO Music.
New Girl is being launched as part of a new Littlewoods advertising campaign and it has the catchy afro-beat infused feel-good vibe that made the duo such a hit on The X Factor. The song was written by Teddy Geirger, Ammar Malik (Moves Like Jagger), TMS (Emeli Sande, Jess Glynne), Space Primates & The Six with production coming from Space Primates, LDN Noise (Chris Brown, Tinie Tempah) and AfterHours.
The music video for the single was filmed in the duo’s home country of Ghana, which was an emotional homecoming for Reggie N Bollie.
“We’re the first Ghanaian artists, aside from Fuse ODG, to be signed to a UK label. When you move to London they think you’ve made it. But we really feel like we have.”
Reggie N Bollie have choreographed a dance routine to go with the track that is set to be a phenomenon up and down the country. Their X Factor mentor Cheryl is firmly behind them throwing her support behind the release.
