Ashton Lane to release new single Seventeen in May

Ashton Lane will release new single Seventeen on 2nd May 2016 it has been announced.

The song is available for pre-order now on iTunes and is the latest taken from their album Nashville Heart. It’s the follow-up to recent single One Kiss Later, which coincided with the band’s performance at this year’s C2C: Country to Country.

Ashton Lane’s Esther and Tim O’Connor share lead vocals on Seventeen, which tells the story of an old flame from high school. The song also features Scottish fiddle player Seonaid Aitken.

Talking about the track Ashton Lane explains, “I think it’s something that many people can relate to; a high school sweetheart that you think back to after the years have gone by”. It’s a song reminiscing about that carefree time of being seventeen and young love.”

“From the moment that we wrote the song it’s been a firm favourite of mine, and one that we wanted to release as a single. It’s usually the song we open up our live shows with and the opening track from the album Nashville Heart.”
