Paul Hollywood City Bakes coming to Food Network

The Great British Bake Off star Paul Hollywood is baking his way around the world for a new 10-part Food Network series.

Arriving on 18th April 2016 at 9pm, the series kicks off with a double bill and will see Paul travel to New York, Paris, London, St Petersburg, Naples, Copenhagen, Madrid, Warsaw, Miami and Munich to explore the recipes that have shaped the baking heritage of each city.

He will uncover family recipes, hotel delicacies and local favourites before adding his own ā€˜Hollywood twistā€™ to a classic.

The first episode of the series sees Hollywood travel to New York City where he visits two newly opened bakeries, where he discovers that the honest doughnut has been reinvented as a treat with fresh flavours he never imagined possible.

During the episode Hollywood also eats 12 varieties of cheesecake in one sitting, and meets Internet sensation Jim Lahey.

In the second episode Hollywood heads to Paris where he looks at iconic French classics such as croissants, baguettes and pain au chocolat being made in their home city. He meets with award-winning croissant baker Laurent Duchene and visits the oldest bakery in Paris.

Paul Hollywood City Bakes begins on Monday 18th April 2016 on Food Network (Freeview 41, Freesat 149, Sky 248, Virgin 291).
