What happens when a young woman with Borderline Personality Disorder wins the lottery? That’s the premise for Kristen Wiig’s new movie Welcome to Me, which opens on 25th March.
Co-starring James Marsden, Wes Bentley, Joan Cusack and Tim Robbins, the film will come to cinemas and will also be available to Sky Store users.
Alice Klieg (Kristen Wiig) suffers from Borderline Personality Disorder. When she wins the lottery, she immediately quits her psychiatric meds and buys her own talk show.
Welcome To Me follows a year in the life of this “extraordinary” woman, who, inspired by the immortal Oprah, broadcasts her dirty laundry as both a form of exhibitionism and a platform to share her peculiar views on everything from nutrition to relationships to neutering pets.
As her national audience rapidly grows, her family, friends and colleagues all become increasingly entangled in Alice’s show.
