The track is taken from her debut EP Chapter One, which is also out today, and features rapper Wretch 32. Vanessa co-wrote the track with Tre Jean-Marie who also produced it, and it’s a slinky, sexy R&B track that Janet Jackson would be proud of.
Vanessa has been slowly teasing the release of her EP by unveiling tracks Nostalgia, Don’t Wanna Be Your Love and Relationship Goals. Musically they couldn’t be more different from the pop that The Saturdays are known for.
Already thinking ahead, Vanessa is hard at work on her forthcoming debut solo album. She’s been in the studio with Snakehips, Future Cut, Shakka, Kojey Radical and Chloe Martini. Fans can expect the video for Lipstick Kisses to arrive soon.
Vanessa has also announced her debut headline show at Cargo in London on 16th March 2016 to celebrate the release of Chapter One.
