New Dark Souls III images show off more of the game

We’re creeping ever closer to the release of Dark Souls III with just over two months left to wait. To keep us excited Bandai Namco have released a selection of new screenshots and artwork.

Most interesting to see in the new screenshots is that Firelink Shrine, the central hub of the first game, appears to be back. Other images show a Pyromancer in action against some disturbing looking maggot enemies, a sneak peek of The High Wall of Lothric and what appears to be some new boss enemies to defeat.

Hidetaka Miyazaki is back to direct Dark Souls III and has said that the gameplay design closely follows that of Dark Souls II. So we’re expecting many of the same elements to feature including the brutal difficulty and multiplayer features. It’s expected that the combat will be faster this time around and that there will be a bigger focus on Role-Playing.

Dark Souls III is expected to release on April 12th, 2016 on PS4, Xbox One and PC. More information can be found on the official website.
