Viking Ocean Cruises have released a new video featuring the Director of Culinary Development Anthony Mauboussin talking about the cuisine served on board the ships.
In the video we see Anthony getting hands on in the kitchen preparing some of the exquisite cuisine on offer and working with his team of chefs. He explains his approach to offering a range of fantastic dishes that enhance the experience of Viking passengers.
Talking about the ethos behind the cuisine served on Viking’s ocean ships Anthony says, “We see food as a cultural experience. Fresh, locally sourced ingredients are used to recreate authentic regional dishes inspired by the destinations we visit, and we keep our dishes simple and true to
their origins. When we serve a Greek salad on board, it must taste just like one you have enjoyed in Athens or Santorini. That is our aim with every dish on every menu, however exotic or traditional.”
Anthony’s approach to cuisine matches Viking’s aim of attracting budding explorers who want to experience exciting cultures and landscapes. The cuisine is designed to complement the experience of being a Viking passenger.
