Doctor Who podcast returns for second season

Doctor Who – The Complete Menagerie (Almost) has announced impending new episodes. Building on the success of the first season, the episodes will include appearances by special guest stars including Davros himself – Terry Molloy!

The podcast dedicated to all things Doctor Who (classic series only) is set to return to iTunes with another free-to-download series of loving, joyous and occasionally factually-inaccurate analyses of the cult sci-fi series.

Join Samuel Payne, Tom Bailey and Greg Jameson as they munch nuts, eat pickled eggs and dissect The Curse of Fenric, The Mutants, The Companions Book (not the JNT one – the erotic one), and much else besides.

Tony Beckley fans will be thrilled by the latest competition – a unique and somewhat macabre gift that’s certain to prove a talking point in any home.

The new series launches with a Christmas Special which will compare and contrast Doctor Who with another long-running and hugely popular franchise – James Bond. The Menagerie will be chatting to a Bond villain’s henchman – you can find out which one when the second season launches!

Take a listen to the Season Two trailer above in which the Menagerie lament the death of Olaf Pooley and do some knockout Alfred Lynch impersonations. “You’re too late, Doctor.”

So if you know your Maurice Colbourne from your Maurice Denham, your Edwin Richfield from your Edward Brayshaw, then this may well be the podcast for you. Stay tuned by subscribing on iTunes, and drop the Menagerie a line on Twitter, @DWMenagerie.
