Xbox Games with Gold for December 2015

Games with Gold for November introduced a new feature that now lets Xbox One owners play the monthly Xbox 360 titles via Backwards Compatibility.

On Xbox One in December players can grab themselves a copy of The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing.

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing might be a mouthful of a title, but it’s actually a very simple game to get into – although one with a ton of layers, viewed from an isometric, top-down perspective. You play the title character, and your job is to kick some monster butt while leveling up your weapons, your abilities, and yourself along the way. If you enjoyed any of the games in the Diablo series, or have a penchant for Eastern European mythology, you’ll definitely dig The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing.

Also from December 16th – January 15th Xbox One players can grab themselves a copy of Thief.

Thief is set in a steampunk/Gothic setting. You are Garrett, the Master Thief. Step into the silent shoes of Garrett, a dark and solitary thief with an unrivalled set of skills. The most challenging heists, the most inaccessible loot, the best kept secrets: nothing is out of your reach. Explore the sick and troubled City, from its shady back alleys to the heights of its rooftops. Sneak through the streets, infiltrate heavily-guarded mansions and lurk in every dark corner… unnoticed and unsanctioned. Choose your approach and use Garrett’s arsenal to take down guards silently with your blackjack, use multiple arrow types to manipulate your environment and the enemies within them or use your newly acquired focus abilities to increase the effectiveness of your thieving skills. What kind of Master Thief will you be?

On Xbox 360 (and Xbox One via Backward Compatibility) players can grab themselves a copy of Castlestorm up until December 15th which will then be switched out for Sacred 3.

Also as a special Christmas Gift players can also get Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising for Xbox 360 between December 16th-31st.

It’s always worth downloading a game even if you own a physical copy as you will then no longer need the disc. You could then give your physical copy to a friend or trade it in at your favourite games retailer towards something else.

EF will bring you news of the Games with Gold titles for January towards the end of December. In the meantime don’t forget to grab yourself copies of the games for November and be sure to pick up the offerings for December as soon as they become available.

Remember you can still add all the games to your Xbox Live account even if you don’t own both an Xbox 360 and Xbox One!
