Two new first look images have been released for the upcoming sixth season of The Walking Dead.
Featuring Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira), the two images were released at this year’s Comic Con. They feature the characters separated from walkers and give a glimpse into what promises to be a darker and more brutal season.
The fifth season finale saw Rick and the survivors at war with the Alexandria Safe Zone community led by Deanna (Tovah Feldshuh). Rick, Carol (Melissa McBride) and Daryl (Norman Reedus) grew increasingly suspicious of their new safe haven and the final moments of the episode saw Rick kill Pete (Corey Brill) infront of everyone.
The finale also teased the arrival of the Wolves who we’re almost guaranteed to see in the next season of the show.
The Walking Dead will return in the US and the UK this autumn. In the UK the show will return in October only on FOX. Take a look at the two images below:
