Joss Stone has announced that the lead single from her new album Water For Your Soul will be The Answer.
Released on 17th July 2015, the same day as the album, The Answer will be available as an instant grat track from fans who pre-order Water For Your Soul from 1st June 2015. The single received its radio premiere on Chris Evan’s Radio 2 Breakfast Show earlier this week and premiered on Billboard.com.
The Answer is soulful pop number with driving violins, gospel influences and snappy percussion. It was written with reggae maestro Dennis Bovell and long-time collaborator Jonathan Shorten.
Speaking about the meaning behind the song Joss said, “It’s annoying to hear people moaning about things they could easily change. I think you’ve got to just let it go, stop holding on to your stress. Of course, you can’t tell people that, they need to come to the answer themselves. But you can put it in a song.”
