The first trailer has been released for ABC’s The Catch which is executive produced by Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers (Grey’s Anatomy).
The Catch centres on the strong, successful Alice Martin (Mireille Enos). She’s a fraud investigator who’s about to be the victim of fraud by her fiancé. Between her cases, she is determined to find him before it ruins her career.
The show also stars Bethany Joy Lenz, Rose Rollins, Alimi Ballard, Jay Hayden and Damon Dayoub.
The first trailer gives a good overview of what to expect from the show and it looks like it’s going to take a similar form to How To Get Away With Murder, with one main plot running throughout whilst Alice tackles different cases each week.
The Catch will air midseason in the US taking the place of How To Get Away With Murder when that show ends its 15 episode second season run. This means that Thursdays will continue to be dominated by Shonda Rhimes shows as part of the US phenomenon #TGIT.
