Couples across the world will be celebrating Valentine’s this weekend and what better way to get in the mood than going for a romantic date at the cinema.

This weekend the much-anticipated big screen adaptation of E.L. James’ global best-seller Fifty Shades of Grey arrives in cinemas starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson. If you fancy something a little less mainstream then there are some other romantic choices too.

Love is Strange

Synopsis: After Ben and George get married, George is fired from his teaching post, forcing them to stay with friends separately while they sell their place and look for cheaper housing — a situation that weighs heavily on all involved.

Two Night Stand

Starring: Analeigh Tipton, Miles Teller, Jessica Szohr

Synopsis: A snowstorm forces two people who made an online connection to unwillingly extend their one-night stand as the blizzard goes through the night.
