Boyhood wins top honours at EE BAFTA Awards

The EE BAFTA Awards took place last night and Boyhood picked up top honours walking away with Best Film, Best Director and Best Supporting Actress.

Other big winners on the night included The Grand Budapest Hotel which picked up 5 awards including Best Original Screenplay and Best Original Music. Picking up three awards was the much-buzzed The Theory of Everything including actor Eddie Redmayne for Best Actor, and Whiplash including J.K. Simmons for Best Supporting Actor.

The EE Rising Star Award, voted for by the public, was presented to Jack Oā€™Connell.

Other winners included Julianne Moore for Best Actress for Still Alice, and Pride which picked up Outstanding debut by a British writer, director or producer for Stephen Beresford (writer), David Livingstone (producer).
