Bates Motel will return to A&E in the US for its third season on Monday 9th March 2015 it has been announced.
The show will pick up after the shocking second season finale which saw Norman (Freddie Highmore) pass a lie detector test about Miss Watson’s (Keegan Connor Tracy) murder. The results came as a surprise to Norma (Vera Farmiga) who knows that her son is struggling to keep his dark side in check.
The third season of the series will further develop Norman’s inability to control himself or acknowledge what he’s been doing. The first teaser for the season paid homage to Alfred Hitchock’s Psycho as Norman watched a female resident get undressed through a peep hole.
The new season will feature guest stars including Tracy Spiridakos (Revolution), Kevin Rahm (Mad Men), Joshua Leonard (The Blair Witch Project) and Ryan Hurst (Sons of Anarchy).
The UK return for the popular series hasn’t been revealed yet but we’ll keep you posted as soon as we hear anything.
