Pixie Lott leaves Strictly Come Dancing 2014

The singer leaves the ballroom during this evening’s results show.

Pixie Lott

Singer Pixie Lott left Strictly Come Dancing 2014 tonight.

Pixie found herself in the bottom two for the first time with her partner Trent Whiddon against Blue singer Simon Webbe and his partner Kristina Rihanoff. Both couples performed their routines again then it was over to the judges to make their decision.

Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli chose to save Pixie and Trent but Darcey Bussell and Len Goodman chose to save Simon and Kristina. Len holds the deciding vote so his decision sent Pixie and Trent home.

Talking about her departure Pixie said, “I was absolutely loving it, I had the best time ever. I am sad that I won’t get to learn the Salsa and the American Smooth next week. I have honestly loved this experience so much and I am so pleased that I decided to do it. I couldn’t have asked for a better dance partner – honestly, Trent, you have been amazing. I have learnt so much and I am so grateful for it.”

Trent said, “I couldn’t have asked for a better partner, someone who is a super talent and so hard working – the nicest, sweetest, most genuine person you could ever meet. I have had such a fantastic time. She is so fantastic and deserves all the success in the world. I wish her all the very best.”

OneRepublic stopped by to perform their number 1 hit Counting Stars and the show opened with a spectacular pro dance involving a lot of water!

Strictly Come Dancing 2014 continues Saturday at 6.50pm on Saturday. See all of the action from tonight’s results show in our gallery:
