The X Factor 2014 semi-final elimination prediction

Last night’s X Factor semi-final was so close to call that tonight is going to be a bit of a shocker in terms of the results.

All four of the semi-finalists deserve their places in the competition but as the rules go one of them will leave tonight. It’s going to be tough for the judges to make a decision as all of the contestants are so close in terms of ability.

We’ve thought long and hard about it and we’ve predicted who we think will be in the bottom two and who we think will be going home.

We love Lauren and think she’s done really well in the competition. Despite a strong performance of One Direction’s Story of My Life last night, she disappointed with her Christmas song. She was in the bottom two last week and she simply didn’t outshine the other contestants for us.

Andrea Faustini

Andrea sang really well last night but as with every week there wasn’t much else to his performance. He doesn’t have the performance ability of Fleur and he can’t put his own spin on a song the way Ben can. He played it safe last night and think his over-singing could cause a problem for him.

Who will go?

We really, really hope we’re wrong here but we think Lauren Platt will be hanging up her mic tonight. After being in the bottom two last week she really needed to pull it out of the bag last night and she was let down by her performance of Stay Another Day.

The X Factor 2014 continues tonight at 8pm on ITV. Tune in to see if our predictions are right.
