Lauren Platt left The X Factor 2014 during tonight’s semi-final results show.
The singer was in the bottom two with Andrea Faustini and it was the second consecutive week she was in the sing-off.
Lauren performed in the sing-off first and sang Faith Hill’s There You’ll Be. Andrea followed with a performance of Jessie J’s Who You Are. Once they had both performed it was over to the judges to make their decisions.
Cheryl chose to send home Andrea. Mel B chose to send home Lauren. Louis chose to send home Lauren. Simon chose to send home Lauren. That meant that Andrea was through to the final and Lauren hung up her mic and headed home.
Music tonight came from Fifth Harmony, 2013 X Factor winner Sam Bailey, and Idina Menzel with Michael Buble.
The X Factor 2014 final takes place at 8.30pm on Saturday night on ITV.
