The 100 to return to E4 early 2015

The second season will arrive in the New Year.

Hit US show The 100 is returning to E4 in early 2015 for its second season it has been confirmed.

The 16-episode season will pick up after the shocking season one finale that saw Clarke (Eliza Taylor) imprisoned in a facility and discovering some of her friends had been captured too. Elsewhere Clarke’s mum Abby (Paige Turco) headed Earth after managing to get away from the Ark.

The 100 attracted the biggest overnight audience for a programme launch in E4’s history. The first season averaged 1.7 million viewers and more than quadrupled E4’s 9-10pm slot average.

The show also stars Thomas McDonell, Devon Bostick, Marie Avgeropoulous, Henry Ian Cusick and Bob Morley.
