Cheryl makes chart history with I Don’t Care

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has made chart history tonight by becoming the first UK female solo artist to notch up 5 number ones on the UK charts.

I Don’t Care follows Cheryl’s previous number ones Crazy Stupid Love featuring Tinie Tempah, Call My Name, Promise This and Fight For This Love. The single is taken from Cheryl’s new album Only Human which is released in the UK tomorrow.

Cheryl previously tied with Geri Halliwell and Rita Ora for having four UK number ones but I Don’t Care has put both of them in second place. After the news was announced Cheryl took to Facebook and posted:

Last weekend Cheryl performed I Don’t Care for the first time on The X Factor results show. Fans can see her on the show tonight where she’ll be resuming her judging duties as she finds out the fate of her last remaining act Lauren Platt.
