The X Factor 2014: week 3 elimination prediction

We predict tonight’s bottom two and who we think will be going home.

The X Factor 2014 will wave goodbye to another singing hopeful tonight during the results show.

For the last two weeks the show has eliminated two contestants on a Sunday evening but tonight it will just be one act leaving the competition. Last night the final 12 sang the songs from the movies and it was a real mixed bunch of performances.

For our prediction from this week forward we’ll be outlining which two acts we think will be in the bottom two and which one we think will be going home.

Keep reading to find out who we think…

We are actually big fans of Jake’s but he’s not really delivered yet and after three weeks that’s pretty disappointing. The problem is that he has a nice enough voice but as Simon Cowell pointed out last night there is no variety in his delivery. Unless Jake pulls something out of the bag if he does end up in the sing-off we think he could be in serious trouble.

Only The Young

The cheesy four-piece sang flatter than a pancake last night when they delivered their version of Boom Clap. The vocals on the verses were terrible but to their credit they did pull it back together on the chorus. We really don’t understand who is voting for Only The Young and after last night’s dire performance they should be in the bottom two.

Who will go?

As much as we’d like to wave goodbye to Only The Young we think it’ll be Jake who hangs up his microphone and heads home tonight. He’s a good looking guy but he doesn’t really have the vocals to compete with any of the other artists in the competition.

The X Factor 2014 continues at 8pm tonight on ITV. Tune in to find out if our prediction is right.
