Chris Brown confirms X album release

The new album is to be released in September.

Chris Brown will release his sixth studio album X on 15th September it has been confirmed.

The R&B star teams up with some of the hottest music artists in hip-hop and pop including Usher, Lil’ Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross and Tyga. The album follows the huge success of recent single Loyal featuring Lil’ Wayne and Tyga which has sold over 1 million copies worldwide.

Brown’s new single New Flame features Usher and Rick Ross and it’s already climbing the charts in the US. The music video for the track, directed by Brown, will be released soon.

X is expected to contain Brown’s other recent singles Love More featuring Nicki Minaj, Fine China and Don’t Think They Know featuring Aaliyah.

Talking about the album Brown says, “I want everyone to take a journey with me through ‘X.’ We’re going to experience the highs and the lows, the love and the pain.”

X is the follow-up to Brown’s 2012 album Fortune which debuted at number 1 in the US. Watch the video for New Flame below:
