Virgin Territory, a new series for MTV, starts tonight.
The show meets 15 young adults who are considering whether or not to have sex for the first time. The virgins are dealing with the sexual pressures of today’s society.
Each hour long episode takes an unexpected look into a range of youngsters from across the US to explore why some of them are consciously clinging onto their v-cards and why others are desperately hoping to lose them.
The first episode introduces teenagers Dominque, Kyle, Lisa and Mikaela. Dominique is determined to remain in Virgin Territory keeping her heart under lock and key for the right guy; but along with firmly religious Lisa who is recently engaged, will they be able to keep their promises and wait until their wedding nights? Meanwhile Kyle has been keeping his virginity a secret from his hard-partying friends, but will he succumb to peer-pressure and have sex in the name of being a lad? Similarly Mikaela is used to being harassed by her friends as the lone virgin; will she be able to overcome her fears about sex and achieve her goal of losing her virginity?
Virgin Territory airs tonight (Monday 4 August) at 9pm only on MTV.
