Sam Smith talks John Legend & debut album

Sam Smith is gearing up for the release of his debut album In The Lonely Hour and yesterday he stopped by Vodafoneā€™s Big Top 40 Show to talk about it.

The album, which is released on Monday, will feature new single Stay With Me as well as his chart smash Money On My Mind. Talking about the realisation that his album release is almost here to presenters Marvin Humes and Kat Shoob, Sam said, ‘It’s scary! I’ve just been in London for the past few days and seen some of the posters up on the tube and stuff. It’s all real now. I’ve been envisaging this moment for a long time, so it’s scary but it’s also very exciting.’

He also talked about a potential collaboration with US star John Legend: ‘He got through to me a few months back, and ye 100% I’m the biggest fan of his, so that’d be amazing. But I’m up for working with anyone and everyone as long as the music turns out good, then it’s all good!’

Stay With Me is out this week and looking likely to top the charts whilst Samā€™s debut album In The Lonely Hour will be released on Monday 26th May.
