Bates Motel continued to ramp up the action in the last episode as Norman (Freddie Highmore) was overcome with rage following Cody’s (Paloma Kwiatkowski) betrayal.
The episode saw her confide in Emma (Olivia Cooke) about Norman’s recent blackouts following an incident at the lakes which saw Norman tear a few strips off Cody. Of course Emma went straight to Norma (Vera Farmiga) which resulted in her preventing Norman from taking his driving test. The bond between mother and son is getting more and more fractured this season.
It also ultimately led to Norman aggressively defending himself against Cody’s dad which resulted in a fall down the stairs and a dead body. Oops!
Elsewhere in the episode Norma won a seat on the local council following the death of one of her biggest adversaries and Dylan (Max Thieriot) found comfort in the arms of his new boss Jodi (Kathleen Robertson) whilst he recovered from his accident.
The next episode of the season is titled Presumed Innocent. Norman’s friendship with Cody reaches breaking point, while Romero receives some new evidence about the murder of Miss Watson.
