Kylie Minogue confirms The Voice UK departure

Kylie Minogue has confirmed that she will not be returning as a coach for series four of The Voice UK.

Rumours have been circulating for weeks that the star wonā€™t be returning to the show despite lucrative offers from the BBC who were thought to be keen to keep her. Kylieā€™s appearance on the show saw the ratings rise and she was received well by fans and critics.

Announcing the news on Facebook and Twitter, Kylie said, ā€œHi Lovers, thanks to all of you for your incredible support throughout this past season of The Voice UK.

“Iā€™m sad to say that, due to the timing of my European Tour, I wonā€™t be back for season four. I absolutely loved my time on the show, and Iā€™ll miss all of the incredible people who were a part of my experience.

“I hope to see you all on my Kiss Me Once Tour, and wish continued success to everyone at The Voice!ā€

It seems that the UK version of the show could be adopting the same policy as the US one introducing rotating judges into the mix. Moira Ross, Executive Producer at Wall to Wall, said: ā€œKylie has brought her own very special magic to The Voice UK and we have loved having her on the show. We wish her well for her tour and hope to welcome her back in the future.ā€

Could we see the return of Jessie J next year? Either way weā€™re going to really miss Kylie as sheā€™s been an excellent coach during the latest series.
