The nominations for the 19th Jameson Empire Awards have been announced today.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug leads this year’s awards with seven nominations with 12 Years A Slave closely behind picking up six. Captain Phillips picked up five and Gravity picked up 4. The nominations echo those of the other major awards so far this year.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire has picked up 5 nominations despite being largely ignored by the majority of film awards.
