Music stars to open EE British Academy Film Awards

Tinie Tempah and Laura Mvula will open the EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday 16th February with a duet.

The two artists have collaborated on new track Heroes which is taken from Tinie’s album Demonstration. Talking about the performance Tinie Tempah said: ā€œI’m extremely excited to be opening the 2014 EE British Academy Film Awards performing ‘Heroes’ with the incredible Laura Mvula. As an internationally renowned British institution, it’s a huge honour to be performing there. This song was inspired by film scores and theme songs so I’m looking forward to showcasing what British music has to offer in front of the world’s film industry elite.ā€

Laura Mvula added: ā€œIā€™m really excited to be opening the show with Tinie Tempah – especially as it’s been such an amazing year for film. It’s definitely a bit scary when I think about who will be there but we’re going to put everything into the performance and it’s a big song so it really lends itself to film.ā€

The EE British Academy Film Awards will be taking place at The Royal Opera House in London’s Cover Garden and will be hosted by Stephen Fry.
