American Hustle, Gravity lead Oscars nominations

Both films pick up 10 nominations each.

American Hustle

This year’s Oscar nominations were revealed earlier today by Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs and actor Chris Hemsworth (Thor, Rush).

The announcement took place this morning at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. Unsurprisingly American Hustle and Gravity led the way with 10 nominations each. 12 Years a Slave followed with nine nominations.

American Hustle’s 10 nominations included Best Picture, Director, Lead Actor, Lead Actress and Supporting Actress whilst Gravity’s 10 included Best Picture, Director and Lead Actress.

The Wolf Of Wall Street featured in several categories with nods in the Director, Lead Actor, Supporting Actor and Best Picture categories.

The 86th Academy Awards will take place on Sunday 2nd March and will be hosted by Ellen DeGeneres.
