Ryan Gosling performs “I’m Just Ken” from ‘Barbie’ at the Oscars

Ryan Gosling created one of the most talked about moments from the Oscars last night when he took to the stage to perform “I’m Just Ken”.

Featured in the global box office sensation ‘Barbie’, the song was nominated for Best Original Song, although it lost out to Billie Eilish’s ‘What Was I Made For?’ which is also from the ‘Barbie’ soundtrack. The performance saw Gosling in a bright pink suit, starting the song from the audience behind his ‘Barbie’ co-star Margot Robbie.

Gosling then walks to the stage where he’s joined by a group of dancers as well as a number of the other Kens from from the film including Simu Liu and Ncuti Gatwa. He was also joined by Mark Ronson, who was one of the writers and producers of the track, and Guns N Roses legend Slash.

As a child, Gosling was part of the ‘Mickey Mouse Club’ show in the US alongside the likes of Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake. He’s previously been embarrassed by old clips of him singing and dancing, but it seems that ‘Barbie’ has helped him get past that.

Judging from the reception he received from the crowd, maybe Ryan Gosling should consider making more music? Maybe there’s a full album on the way from him in the future?
