The Oscars aka the Academy Awards 2025 took place in Los Angeles last night.
The big winner of the night was ‘Anora' which took ‘Best picture', ‘Best director', ‘Best original screenplay', ‘Best film editing' and ‘Best actress'. The film's win for ‘Best actress' was the night's biggest upset with star Mikey Madison beating Demi Moore, who has been the favourite for her performance in ‘The Substance'.
‘Best actor' went to Adrien Brody for ‘The Brutalist', ‘Best supporting actress' went to Zoe Saldaña for ‘Emilia Perez' and ‘Best supporting actor' went to Kieran Culkin for ‘A Real Pain'.
The ceremony opened with a performance from ‘Wicked' stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, who performed a medley of songs from ‘The Wizard of Oz', ‘The Wiz' and ‘Wicked'.
