Our Top 5 Strictly dances from week 2

Strictly Come Dancing could be enjoying its best season to date based on the standard of dancing weā€™ve seen in just two weeks.

Last night all of the couples upped their game as they fought to secure their place on next weekā€™s show. Tonight one couple will leave the competition and we have no idea who it will be.

Ahead of the results weā€™ve compiled our Top 5 dances from last nightā€™s live show. Do you agree with our choices?

5. Deborah Meaden & Robin Windsor ā€“ Cha Cha

The Dragon returned to the dance floor and equalled her week 1 score. The judges said there was definite improvement and it looks to us like Deborah enjoyed every minute of the performance.

4. Mark Benton & Iveta Lukosiute ā€“ Salsa

Technically this wasnā€™t the strongest dance of the evening but Markā€™s energy is so infectious. Weā€™re loving his partnership with Iveta and the pair never fail to put a smile on our faces.

3. Susanna Reid & Kevin Clifton ā€“ Tango

Susanna Reid had another strong night last night with her powerful Tango. Sheā€™s the perfect match for new pro Kevin Clifton and we predict these two will make it all the way to the final.

2. Ashley Taylor Dawson & Ola Jordan ā€“ American Smooth

Credit has to be given to Ashley for pulling such a stunning dance out of his hat after becoming a father for the second time earlier in the week. The true professional Ashley went straight back to training with Ola and we were very impressed.

1. Sophie Ellis-Bextor & Brendan Cole ā€“ Charleston

The biggest surprise of the night was Sophie and Brendanā€™s incredible Charleston. Despite Brendan never having done a competitive Charleston on Strictly during his 10 years he pulled it out of the bag giving Sophie some remarkable moves. We didnā€™t know they had it in them!

Tune into Strictly Come Dancing at 7.20pm tonight to find out which couple will be leaving the competition.
