Lady Gaga has revealed the artwork and title of her new single.
The singer-songwriter will release Applause on 19th August as the first taster of her new album/app ARTPOP. The artwork for Applause was shot by Inez & Vinoodh and Gaga explained, “The statement is that I’m not one icon. I’m every icon. I’m an icon that is made out of all the colors on the palette at every time. I have no restrictions.”

Applause is to get its debut live performance when Gaga performs the track at the MTV VMA Awards on 25th August.
ARTPOP will be available for pre-order on 19th August, the same day Applause is released, and will be released on 11th November 2013.
