Size Five Games launches Gun Monkeys on Steam

A procedurally-generated, physics-based, 1-on-1, online platform shooter featuring monkeys with guns!

Gun Monkeys is the new game from indie developer Dan Marshall of Size Five Games. His previous titles include the fantastic point-and-click adventures Ben There, Dan That and Time Gentlemen.

In Gun Monkeys, players take charge of a modern-day power company. In the distant future, a catastrophic experiment into Perpetual Energy obliterates all human life, leaving the world choc-full of free-for-the-taking energy. Your job is to send a legion of pleasingly-expendable monkeys forwards in time to collect Power Cubes and return them to present-day, all from the comfort of your PC. Sadly, it looks like one or two other entrepreneurs have had the exact same idea…
Gun Monkeys is kind of an experiment into short, sharp jabs of intense multiplayer combat. It’s a procedurally-generated, physics-based, 1-on-1, online platform shooter. All lovingly voiced by British comedy legend, The Actor Kevin Eldon. There aren’t many games like that kicking around.

I’m declaring Gun Monkeys launched in an ultra-special “Gamma” phase of development: technically it’s Gold, it works beautifully, but please don’t shout at me just yet if there are a few teething problems. Frankly, if the likes of EA and Blizzard can’t launch an online game without any server hitches whatsoever, I stand no fucking chance.
Gun Monkeys is available via Steam for PC and Mac for just £6.49/$10 (or two copies for £10.49/$15) with a launch offer of 10% off! A Linux build will hopefully follow shortly.

EF will have a full review of Gun Monkeys soon. For more information you can check out the Size Five Games website.
